How to Refresh Yourself for Spring (and the road back to normalcy)

There is a condition called sweatpant fatigue.
It's been over 12 months of nothing but lounge wear and elastic waistbands. It's time to put that sh*t away and try on some real clothes again. Yup, you read that right.

This transition can seem shocking! daunting! disastrous? at first, but we're here with 3 EASY STEPS to help you get started.

STEP 1 : Decide what should stay and what should go.
Good news: not all of your quarantine wardrobe needs to go. Some pieces will be classic and/or basic enough to remain in your rotation (think neutral or spring colored sweatshirts, edgy sneakers, vintage t-shirts, and basic tanks/tees/bodysuits).

Anything you're not excited to wear again and doesn't bring you joy (thank you, Ms Kondo) has got to go. It's that simple. Donate or consign and feel good for supporting sustainability.

STEP 2 : Start with what you know...just a little better.

If you've worn nothing but hoodies for the past year and can't image yourself in anything else-- that's ok! It's not time to reinvent the wheel. Upgrade your look in baby steps with fresh layers like a shirt jacket, updated basics like wide leg jeans or cargo pants, and cool sneaks. Boom! Post-quarantine look done.

STEP 3 : Identify the gaps (and do a little shopping!)

Since we all had other things on our mind last spring (like wiping down groceries) you probably missed out on your seasonal wardrobe update, meaning most of your spring wardrobe is at least 2 years old. While fashion hasn't changed that much, you'll likely have gaps that need to be filled. Ideas of where to look could be denim, shoes, layers, and of course a trend item here or there in the accessory category. Adding updated, modern pieces to your life will give you an INSTANT MOOD BOOST. Time to feel fresh, updated and ready to get back out there!
