I hear a lot about this, but what does shopping sustainably even mean?
By definition, sustainable fashion refers to clothing that is designed, manufactured, distributed, and used in ways that are environmentally friendly. Some brands are making an effort to align their practices with sustainability initiatives which is really exciting. But to make a dent in 'dirty fashion' we need more!

Why do we need to shop sustainably?
The fashion industry alone contributes 8% of the world's greenhouse gases--that's A LOT considering every other industry out there. In just 30 years the fashion industry with contribute more than 25%--yup an entire quarter--of greenhouse gases. Needless to say, we need to bring more awareness to our consumption habits, stat.

Almost every brand says they're sustainable, so how will I know what's legit?

It's hard to know what's real and what's just for show these days--we get it. Everyone slaps a "green" label on their product, but what ones are the real deal? Good news--we're here to help you sift through the product sea to find the brands that are truly practicing sustainability.
